Feeling stuck with a problem? Not sure how to overcome a challenge? Someone has the answer, but who?
I like Peter’s idea: Fill up a plane with people, take off and ask for help. Chances are that there will be someone on that plane who can help you identify potential solutions before the plane lands.
Asking for help is something I typically practice. Even at the grocery store, I tell myself I enjoy the challenge of finding what I’m looking for, but, perhaps the real reason, if I really look into myself, is that I don’t want to look like I don’t know. I don’t want to “look bad” for not knowing, which, by the way, makes me wonder: “Where else am I not asking for help because I don’t want other people to know that I don’t know?” This sounds like an opportunity for me to practice humility as well.
I don’t have to have all the answers. Why waste time when I can simply ask someone for help? If that person doesn’t have the answer, maybe they can suggest someone else who might.
Kindly,
David
